Job Description | DevOps Engineer (Jr)

Role Purpose

Accelerate the reliable delivery of software and infrastructure by leveraging DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure as code enabling scalable operations across Tier-1 telecom providers in Latin America, the United States, and Spain.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the design, build, and operation of carrier-class platforms based on Open Source technologies.
Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines for telecom software products and use cases.
Standardize environments using containers and orchestration platforms.
Automate repetitive tasks with scripting and configuration management (Python, Bash, Ansible).
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and PMO teams to achieve milestones and meet SLAs.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design guides, runbooks, maintenance procedures, and user manuals.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies in observability, virtualization, and automation relevant to the telecom domain.

Must-Have Qualifications

Strong technical curiosity, continuous learning mindset, and ability to thrive in high-performance teams.
Advanced knowledge of Linux systems.
Experience with scripting/programming: Python and Bash.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms: VMware, KVM, RHEV (Red Hat Virtualization).
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
Understanding of Git workflows and version control.

Nice-to-Haves

Basic knowledge of IP networking and protocols.
Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, InfluxDB.
Open Source server and database technologies: NGINX/Apache, MySQL, MongoDB.
Fundamentals of IT security (systems and networks).
Cloud exposure: AWS, GCP, or Azure (entry level).
Intermediate English for reading and collaboration.
